The only house I ever had growing up. (I just got a little teary writing that)
The view from the front porch. A little slice of heaven on earth, I tell ya. It really is just so beautiful there.
These two were besties the whole time. Two little peas in a pod
Uncle Brian and real crowd favorite!
Stars, stripes and a happy 4th!
Parades, fireworks, picnics, Oh my!!
We had a weekend full of activities and ran from here to there. Our fun filled Independence day started at the farmers market in SLC with Dan's fam. We had a wonderful breakfast with some great company. We then packed up and went to the gorgeous Cache Valley for one of Logan's classics, The Cache valley Cruise In, something I did almost every 4th of July when I lived there, so it has a lot of nostalgia for me. Had a family picnic and lit off our own fireworks back out my parents. It was so great seeing Ella have an absolute ball with her cousins. Oh to be a kid again, and not have a care in the world but otter pops and playing outside.Finished off the night with Janel's famous Apple pie. Doesn't get more American than that!
Ella with her "Anner" another fav
We went back to SLC to visit with Dan's fam and I have to say Ella was super spoiled by all the attention and fun she got from family, it really made me miss living close to them. We went to one of our favorite places in Salt lake, The Beehive Tearoom. It is the most adorable place! I highly recommend you visit it next time your in Salt lake. Another adorable place that was introduced to me on this visit, was Minnie's Cupcakes. It has been an ongoing dream of mine to one day own a cupcake shop. This little place was right up my alley and the mini cupcakes were amazing! Mmmm. The Beehive Tea Room
My amazing mother-in-law
Minnie's Cupcakes. How cute are those lil guys!?
Ella has gotten to the age, that is tradition in the Jones household, to take a picture in their great, great, grandmothers dress. All of the girls in the family did when they were two and now Ella, being the only granddaughter at the moment, needs to keep this little tradition going. How cute is this little old dress!!??Even though our visit was rushed and very quick, it was well worth it to get to see everyone, help MaryLiegh out with her house, and say farewell to my childhood home. It was a very happy 4th of July indeed!

Oh I hate to see your parents move from their south fields temple.:( That's what us local Millvillites called it "the south fields temple". Such a beautiful home. I remember us playing up stairs in your big loft. I remember hide and seek with the Seamons. I have great memories of that place with you my dear friend. ( I just got a little teary eyed writing that) Your cute collages of the 4th are much like mine.:) LOVE THEM! I love your fun pics! I wish I could've known you were here.:( I know how those quick trips are though, I totally understand. Glad to see you had a good trip, and a wonderful 4th with your great family!
Kristi - I am dying to see what you looked like in that cute dress! Ella is so cute, and SO big! Miss you.
I am so rude. I didn't even ask you about your trip today. It looked like you had a great time. I feel so bad about your parent's house. It is beautiful. I want to have great, great, grandmother's dress.
WOW no wonder you had a hard time saying goodbye to that house! Amazing! That's just so awesome that you actually grew up in the exact same house your whole life (something I can't even come close to imagining)!
Love all your pictures and collages! I also LOVE that Ella was wearing her big red flower! I love that one and it looks soooooooo cute on her!
Can't wait to hang out! I miss you too much!
Hey, we were in the same place for the 4th, how funny! Where did you sit for the cruise-in? We sat right in front of the Tabernacle. That would have been great if we would have happened to run into eachother in Logan of all places huh? :) Glad you had a fun 4th with both your families!
I got teary eyed looking at the picture of the house. Jeremy and I nearly cried when we drove away when we were there. It looks like you had an absolute fantastic time, although I highly doubt anything can be dull with you around. Glad you were able to make the final trek back. And can I just tell you how stinkin cute Ella is. I can't believe how big she's getting. We seriously need to come see you, so we can have some fun with her.
I loved seeing you guys! Ella is so cute...and such a little smartie pants! Your parents house is really pretty...amazing view from their house too.
I hate your "quick trips" to SLC. Next time, make it a LONG one! We were at the Farmers Market over the 4th too, bummer we didn't run into you. I'm glad you had a chance to tri Mini's! I went there on Valentine's Day to pick up dessert and fell in love!
I remember that house we had lots of fun there and it is a gorgeous home. You will just have to make more beautiful memories in their new home. :)
