Newborn Photoshoot

Yay! I've been so excited to get these pics back. Oliver was just one week old and sooo teeny tiny. I look at these and can totally tell how much he's already grown in just one short month.
My cute friend Mandy Poulsen did his newborn shoot and she did an amazing job! Thanks Mandy! They are just so precious. b/c I have a major indecision problem, and can't narrow down these pics....I just put them all up! I'm just one proud momma bear :)

Ollie's 1 Month!.....What!?

How did this happen so fast? My lil newborn hit his month mark...crazy. He has grown and changed so much. He really is a champ of an eater...the kid wants to eat ALL the time. He's already plumping right up...check out those chubby cheeks and his cute lil dimple chin. Love that lil chin.
I got this idea from my friend Amberlynn, to chart growth by taking a pic by the same thing every month for their 1st year. Fun idea...wish I would have done it with Ella too.

Momma's Lil Hercules

This lil guy is Strong! He's so itty bitty but he's already a tough guy. I swear he can hold his head up better than any newborn I've held before. Either he'll be a lil muscle man or very strong willed, but I had to show off his mad tummy time skillz.

Weekend Round-Up

So nice Dan has his weekends free now. During school he worked most all weekends or watched Ella while I did weddings on the weekend. Since I'm still on maternity leave (it's almost over...sad) I have my weekends free to play as well. We have been trying to make the most of them, here's a pic re-cap of our family fun times
This is what baby Oliver lived in this weekend....love my moby wrap. Don't have one? go get one :)

Lucky for us Ollie has been really good during these family outings. It does take quite a bit longer to get out the door then before....but it's always worth it.

Gone Fishin'

Even though Ella is super in love with her baby bro, she's still having a hard time sharing the attention. She's use to being the one and only for the past 4 1/2 years. We have been trying to give her some "Ella special time" just one on one with either me or Dan. It really helps.
Dan asked Ella what she wanted to do for their daddy/daughter date, and she said "Go Fishing!" I thought that was pretty funny since she's so girly and has never been. They had a blast while Ollie and I held down the fort. Ella was disappointed they didn't catch anything.....I on the other hand was very relieved :)

She LOVES Her Brother

Ella can't get enough of her baby bro. She wants to hold him all the time, help with diaper changes, giggle at all his funny faces and silly coos he makes at her. She's a great big sissy, and a wonderful helper to mommy :)

Oliver's Big Adventure

We decided to do a family day at Sea World. Which was a lot of fun....but it always amazes me how much "stuff" you have to bring with a baby for an all day outing. It's been a while since I've had to tote all these baby things around. So we packed up the baby bag/sling/stroller and off we went for Oliver's 1st trip to Sea World.
The only pic I got to prove Ollie was in fact really at Sea World. Here's our 2 kiddos waiting to watch the Circ Del Mar show
The Crew
(minus Ollie & I who were taking the photo, and add Dan's friend Eric who was visiting at the time)
Dan always gives into Ella wanting to play these carnival games. I think it's sweet.
She was super excited she actually won!
Fun Times! We survived our 1st all day family outing with new baby. I think were getting the hang of this 2 kiddo thing....I hope.

Birthday Surprise

My hubby is an old man now, he just turned 33! To celebrate this momentous occasion, I thought it would be fun to surprise him at his office with cake and balloons etc. Dan hates to be the center of attention, so I knew this might embarrass him a bit, but figured if I sent Ella in singing he couldn't possibly get mad at me :)
We got to meet everyone at the firm and show off our tiny Ollie. Then we took our favorite guy out for a boba smoothie and walked around the pier.
We stopped and watched the surfers. Ella was pretty into them.
This is what Oliver did during our O-side pier adventure
Work that camera girl! She can strike a pose on the fly.
Later that night we meet up with two of Dan's brothers and his sister Louisa for dinner at the Jones fam favorite, Spaghetti Factory. Kinda a birthday tradition, that seems to be starting.

Happy Birthday, Sweetie! Hope you day was great. We love you heaps!
