Lets Go Fly A Kite

I have to say....I am lovin' Dan not being in school at the moment! I wish it was like this all the time. But, unfortunately all good things come to an end. Dan starts up school next week and then it's back to the daily grind! Good times though!

Little Minnie! Ella is in Love with ANYTHING Mickey mouse. She loves the Mickey mouse clubhouse and Minnie mouse. And now, thanks to grandma Lola, her new Disneyland barbie. She calls them "mi mi mouse" It's really cute, she recognizes him everywhere. I love that her "infant" mouse ears finally fit her now that she is 18 months old! That took a little while! She wears her ears all the time, these pictures I took after her nap. I could hear her carrying on a long conversation with her Minnie mouse doll (that's she sleeps with every night!) When I came in, Ella saw her ears on the floor and asked for her "mi mi hat" That shouts, photo op!

Bon Voyage Bonfire

We have met some wonderful people since we moved here to San Diego! The only bad thing is that our friends are always coming and going. Kimberly and Shawn are moving back to Colorado, they have been stationed here in San Diego. Shawn is now finished in the military and is going to school in Colorado. We are sad to see them leave. To say goodbye....we were invited to a big, bon voyage bonfire! I love bonfires on the beach! I think it's so relaxing with the ocean and cozing up to the fire. We roasted hot dogs and had yummy smores. It was a great get-together to wish the Dillon's on there way. They will be missed.

The sky was amazing that evening! I had to take of few pictures of my babes on the beach.

Wild Weekend

This weekend was full of events! My sister, Candice and her hubby Brian, came down from LA (on Candice's birthday) to hang out with us and show Brian around San Diego to help decide where they are going to live. My sister is a surgeon and is deciding between Yuma Arizona and San Diego (we are hoping here!) Ella and I went on a real estate tour with them to check out some beautiful homes up in Mt. Helix (a richy area in San Diego) It made me so envious that they are in the market to buy a home! I love looking though homes and seeing different layouts etc.! After the tour, I did Brian's and Cana's hair (a birthday request) I think they had fun! :) Then it was out for some fun downtown! We got a babysitter (thanks Shannon) and headed to this cool restaurant that also had karaoke! None of us were brave enough to get up there and sing but it was sure fun watching! We had a blast!

The next day, my sweet friend Rachel was in town on a celebratory family vacation (her husband, Steve got a great new job!) We meet up with them at Sea World and checked out the newest attraction: The bay of play! It is a little kid's wonderland!! The kids were in love, they had soo much fun! It was super hard to drag them outta there! It was sooo very nice to see Rachie and her cute little family. I loved seeing how much her girls have grown! That evening we when out for sea food at this great fish n' chips place in Sea Port Village! Can you say, yummy! We had so much fun with them and I hope they come back and play really soon!!

Fun times!

Yummy Seafood!

I love my Rachie!!

The following day, Dan and I headed up to LA, to see my sister's place where she has been living doing her fellowship. They showed us the sites around their place. After that we headed out to Venice beach which if you have never been there, it is quite an experience! (to say the least!!) The board walk is like a Circus act! Every where you look there is something crazy or unusual going on! It was fun! I love people watching and this is the best place to watch em'! After Venice beach we headed over to Santa Monica Pier which has a carnival right on the Pier! We played around, ate, and had a great time enjoying each others company! Candice had invited some of her other friends and their spouses as well.

All in all a very fun filled weekend, that was non-stop! We loved that Dan was able to play as well! By the end we were all a little tuckered out! Especially Ella who hadn't had a good nap in the last three days. She just passed out from the fun in the sun!

My Lil' Biker Babes!

Right before Dan went to work on his motorcycle, he let Ella try on a helmet. She thought she was pretty cool, because she walked all over the house with the big ol' heavy thing on her head! Ella loves to point out motorcycle's to me and say "vroom, vroom" I think she thinks they are all her daddy's motorcycle!

It's Ella's World, We Just Live In It.

Ella loves attention, now more than ever! She has to be in the same room as me, and wants me to pay attention to her every move. She really has so much personality, she cracks me up every day with the things she says and does. So Here is to our little lady who steals the show. And since our blog is 98% dedicated to her already, why stop now. She's the star!

Our Spa Day: If you can't get to the spa, why not bring it to your home? We had a mommy-daughter, mani-pedi's. As you can see, Ella is a fan!

Accessories are a Must: Ella likes to accessorize herself in her stunner shades, the latest totes and some bling. She's my kind of gal!

Da' Cannons

We love the Cannons!! Logan is Dan's good friend from high school. We were excited to hear they were in town this weekend. These guys are one of the lucky people, who's family has a beach house in La Jolla and get to come visit all the time! We love their visits!! Logan and Ainsley have two beautiful girls, Romney and Addy, who Ella had a ball with!! They came out for Cole's graduation. (Logan's brother) Cole graduated from the same law school Dan is going to. (way to go Cole!) He already took the bar before graduating and found out on graduation day that he passed the bar! (lucky guy, he's all done) It makes me see the light at the end of Dan's school tunnel! After the graduation festivities, we hit the beach both days they were here. They took us to a few new beaches I had never been to and I feel in love with them!! I thought I had my favorite beaches already marked out. The Cannon's just might have changed my mind!! We went to La Jolla shores, which was beautiful! Loved the atmosphere there! But, I think the winner of my new favorite beach goes to...... Encintias Beach! It was sooo very cool! They had a Huge playground right on the beach, a smoothie shack right on the beach, Great showers to rinse off the lil' ones and the bathrooms were clean! Good food all around the place. I think this beach will be visited again very soon!!

Daddy daughter time

How cute are these two Daddy's???

Always chasing those poor seagulls....

Girls just wanna have fun!!

Happy Mothers Day!

To the mothers in my life~

Thank you for all you do!

My Mothers day~

*I also need to mention that my hubby cleaned the kitchen before my fun breakfast! That alone is a wonderful mothers day gift! Thanks, sweets!

I'm a proud momma!!
This is my lil' sweetie saying her animal noises! She's learning so much right now and starting to talk really well. We both are getting a kick at watching her become this little toddler!

**you will have to pause my tunes to hear her.

This was a big day~ Not only mothers day, but also Ella's 1st day of nursery! She turns 18 months this week! I can't believe my little bean is 1 1/2! She did great!! She's a little social butterfly, and always has been right from the start. Ella walked right in and started playing, didn't look back once! I guess I'm not needed here. I fully intended to stay and help her adjust to the 1st day, but she was just fine with out me! She loved all the kids running around, playing with the toys, signing songs, and playing with the instruments. She even made her first colored picture for me with her name at the top and everything! I got a little emotional seeing her in this new stage of life. We just love her to pieces! And I'm gonna love finally being able to hear the lessons in church for a change!

Daddy Daughter Date

Dan had a some time off work, while he was studying for finals. We wanted to take advantage the time he had after finals and before he's back to the crazy, work/school schedule. He needed a little daddy daughter time and so did Ella! So we headed off to our favorite zoo. Ella loves those meerkats! She could watch them all day! She'll say "hi kitty, kitty!" "meow, meow" while having the biggest grin on her face. Love it!

I love the picture in the bottom right hand side. Dan feel asleep after the zoo. (all that studying) When I came into our room to check in, I saw the kitty on his back. This is so priceless, because Dan HATES the cat!! I definitely had to document this one. Too funny!

I'm a Proud Wifey

Dan has finished his 1st year of law school! Yay! He finished his last final today, then he will take a month off and start up summer school. People say the first year is the hardest...we will see. If that's true then the worst is behind us right??? Needless to say, I am very proud of Dan's accomplishments and I'm happy we are getting closer to his goal. Way to go baby! We love ya!

Wild Little Animals

My friend Kim and I have decided to be zoo buddy's, since we both have a season passes and go all the time. She had never been to the Wild Animal Park, which is separate from the San Diego Zoo. It's about a half an hour away and the SD zoo is like 5 min away. (way more convenient) So we planed a day to go to the "special zoo" as her daughter calls it. Kim has two girls, Azure is 2, and Skyla is 6 months. Ella really loves playing with Azi, she follows her all around. The park was especially fun this trip because a bunch of new baby animals have been born. It was so sweet to see the new baby elephants, giraffes calfs, and lion cubs. We all loved watching the little cuties play!!

The day we went it was in the 80's, so it was hot!!! We let the kids cool off in the play area. It was too cute, Ella kept putting her feet up into the alligator fountain. It looked like she was just rinsing her feet off from all the walking she was doing! She also kept taking little sips from the alligator like it was a drinking fountain. The girls got pretty wet, but they had a ball!! With the weather being that hot, they dried off in no time.
Ella wanted to push her stroller around the entire park! It looked like I was putting my baby to work for me! I think she had more fun with her stroller than anything else that day! The flip flops she is wearing, I bought her when I was still pregnant. I was so excited when they finally fit! She loves shoes and she could tell these ones were new. She was happy to show them off to daddy before we left, by sticking her little foot out for him to see. I think they are so adorable! Thanks Kim, for being my zoo gal! I hope we have many more zoo trips ahead!!

My Zoo Gal Pal

Kim, I and our kids are regulars at the zoo. Kim has become my zoo gal pal and the zoo is one of our weekly events. Gotta love the SD zoo, we sure do!!
