May I Proudly Present....Daniel Jones, Juris Doctor

Yep, that's right, My Hubby is Done with Law school!! Can I get a holla!! I can't believe it's over....well until the BAR that is. Has it really been 3 years already!? On the same note it feels like it's been forever. I couldn't be more proud of Dan! He has worked his tail off throughout law school, with 2 or more jobs at a time, day AND night school, being chair of PBLA, and a husband and father on top of that.
During the ceremony I had to choke back tears a few times thinking of all we had to go through over the past 3 years and the sacrifices we had to make to bring us to this point. It was a very emotional weekend for me. Ella was Dan's biggest cheerleader, every time they called out a name, she would lean over and ask me: "Is it daddy's turn yet?" "I really want to cheer, Go daddy Go. Super loud!" She was just as proud as I was.
The posters we made together to cheer our Grad on. Every chance she got, she would waved her poster high in the air for all to see.
Of course none of this could be possible without the love and support of our family and friends! Thank you to all that came out to support Dan in this amazing achievement. We appreciate all your help along the way.
Dan had to be there and hour before the ceremony to line up etc. I snuck out 1st thing and decorated his truck so he pulled up in style. Dan's not one to draw a lot of attention to himself...but, heck you just finished Law School! I want everyone you drive by to see how awesome we all think you are :)
After the ceremony, we grabbed some fish tacos and headed down to Coronado beach to chill for the rest of the afternoon.
I think these two thought this was the best part of Graduation :)
Baby Madeline's 1st trip to the beach.
So fun to have most of the Jones crew together!
My talented friend Kayliegh, made Dan's cake. Isn't it so awesome?!? she also make me these cute lil graduation candy pops. We all were impressed with her mad skillz
Mmmmm! Thanks again.
I can't even begin to tell you how glad I am that Dan is done with law school. For as hard as he worked, (and he did!) it was an almost equally hard road for us as well.  I feel like I graduated right along with him. I am extremely proud of my hubbs and I always knew he was meant for great things. Now we just need to get that pesky BAR outta the way and wait for our next adventure to begin.....So curious to see where this will take our little family. Thanks again for everyones help and support in making this all possible! Way to go Daniel Louis Jones J.D.!!

Family Shenanigans

After graduation, Dan only had a few short days until he had to hit the books and start BarBri (which is a course you take to study for the bar that lasts a whopping 2 months!!) So we made the most of our time and played with the fam that came out. We hit up Legoland, Mission beach, Belmont park, Oceanside Pier, Fish Market, and it wouldn't be a family get-together if we didn't keep up with the Jones tradition, of going to the Spaghetti factory. Fun filled weekend wouldn't ya say.....

The gals found a Boyfriend
The boys found their Lady
Ella was fascinated with this dog who was using the "potty"
Got to see King Tut's Tomb
I felt like that witch a few times during law school.
1st time mini golfing, she was way better than me!
Check out this dragon! Super cool. I think they said like over 300 thousand Lego bricks to build this bad boy. Ella was in Love with him, since dragon is her middle name these days.
Belmont Park
Mirror maze madness
Glow in the dark mini golf and arcade
Mission Beach
Spaghetti Factory
Thanks again for coming out to help celebrate Daniel's Grad. I wish every weekend could be filled with family, food, and fun. Hurry back!

Grad Party!!

Graduation from Law School definitely is cause for celebration!! We went downtown to celebrate with Dan's fellow law students and had a blast! It felt like prom again. As we walked in they had a professional photographer taking pictures. The room was filled with balloons and party lights, a huge dance floor and decor in their school colors of blue and white. So fun to get all gussied up and have a ball with my hardworkin' hubby. Go class of 2010!

Jackpot!

This is my handmade Mothers Day card, made by my lil bean. She taped a penny to it (all her idea) and told me that: "I could spend it on whatever I wanted" LOL. I love that little girl I tell ya. So glad to be her momma.
I also scored these beauties! I woke up to a beautiful bunch of flowers and breakfast. Happy Happy Mothers day.

Cat Naps

Sometimes you just need a cuddle buddy.

***Flashback: Looking through photos, I found this video of Ella at 9 months. (I miss those squishy thighs) Our sneaky kitty has tried being her cuddle buddy before.....

A Week Of Playdates

Ella w/Azure and Skyla @ the Mormon battalion
Ella w/Hallie @ the Children's museum

Weeks like these, Ella starts to ask: "Which friend are we going to play with today mommy?"  She's always looking for a pal to play with. And lucky for her, she has such cutest pals around :)

Big Girl On Campus

Ella was Teacher Marina's helper for the day and boy was she proud to have that title! In her pre-school, when it's your turn to bring the snack, you get to be the "helper" I still can't get over how grown up Ella is getting and such a smarty! She amazes me everyday.
The snack we brought to share with....get this, 36 other kiddos, yep...can you say Costco! :) Good thing we only have to do it once every few months.

Just Call Me Dragon

A few weeks ago, Dan took Ella for a daddy daughter date to see this movie while I colored a few clients hair. Ever since then, Ella has now been known as "Dragon" or "Toothless" (I didn't see the movie, although I did hear all the rave reviews from my dragon lovin' 3 year old) She corrects you every time you call her Ella, by saying "My names is NOT Ella, it's Dragon!" One of the perks of this fascination is, dragons don't speak, so it's been awfully quite around our house. Also, "Dragon's have to eat a whole lot b/c they are so big and fly very fast." So I now have a better eater and a quieter little dragon on my hands. I think I’ll let this play out for as long as she keeps her love for the fire breathing beasts, if these are the results I get!
