Ringing In The New Year

Happy New Year!

I have a feeling 2013 is gonna be a good year!

We rang in the new year with great friends and had a Fancy Dinner Party

complete with china, gold flatware, and we dressed to impress.

 Dinner party complete with wait staff...we put the kids to work ;)

 Dan volunteered to sit on the highchair...Look what a tall drink of water he is :) He towered above all of us

Oh the menu was divine.

We dinned like kings

Started with a mixed green salad

with cranberries, candied walnuts, gorgonzola and pear vinaigrette

 Herb crusted pork tenderloin with apricot balsamic glaze

 Roasted sweet potatoes, butternut squash, broccoli and cauliflower

 Mushroom leek risotto with thyme and Parmesan

 Finished our feast with a salted caramel toffee trifle

that was to die for!

After Dinner we wrote down a few New Years resolutions

Steph brought these awesome wishing paper, that your write you wish on, crumple up, roll into a cylinder, light on fire, watch it float into the air and if you catch it on while it floats down, your wish for the new year will come true. Such a great tradition

 And what New Years Eve party would be complete with out some bubbly?
