Last Day

I now have a 1st grader??

Last day of kindergarten was Friday.

I cant believe how fast this last year flew by!

Even with Ella being in year round.

It broke my heart a little that Ella's not a Kinder anymore.

 1st grade just seem like "real school" to me.

(although Kindergarten is so much tougher now since I was a kid, All day long, AND homework)

We get a short 6 week break, then 1st grade here we come :)

9 Is Fine

We celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary last weekend

and I'm still amazed its been 9 whole years. Crazy.

Truly enjoyed our dinner alone at Eddie V's Prime seafood.

No one was throwing food of their highchair
or saying how dinner "looks yucky"

just a nice fancy meal with my love.

Spirit Week

I can't believe Kindergarten is almost over.....sniff!

Ella is in year round school and only has a week left. She'll get a 6 week summer break and then she will be a 1st grader! A grader!! That is just plain crazy to me! I never gave her permission to grow up this fast!
Ella has been looking forward to spirit weeks for months now. So when it finally got here, we had to go all out. It was her 1st ever spirit week and I had to make it a big deal.

Crazy hair day!

Ella was very specific, she wanted a hot pink Mohawk and she told me

"I want it crazy mom, not cute"

Well there you go....hope this stuff washes out. gulp.

Turns out 4 hair washes and a pink tub later, to get the "temporary" color to wash out...

but yes it did wash out :)

 Sports Day!

This is about as sport-y as this one gets. Pink sequence and a shinny star

Ella requested footie jammies, still makes me smile that she can fit into footie jammies

 80's Day!

Really?! Do 5 years old even know what the 80's were?

Ella just went with it :)

 They finished off spirit week with Patriotic Day.

Love this lil bean. This is a great age. Kindergarten was so much fun!

The Whole Fam Damly

The Jones's have invaded San Diego!!

And We couldn't have been happier!! 10 out of the 11 siblings came with families in tow, for the week of the 4th of July. They rented a beach house and boy did we play lots! Get ready for a picture overload of their awesome visit, because we had O-So-Much-Fun!!

Ella was so cute with Madeline the whole time. She took her under her lil wing, and was very protective. She would crouch down and talk to Maddie in this sweet little voice. It really was so adorable. Fun that Madeline is older so they can play together now.
