Girls Trip Time!

It was my turn to plan/host our traditional girls weekend. We have been having a yearly girls weekend with my amazing middle school/high school friends since 2001.

Each year, one of the 8 of us, takes a turn planning and/or hosting a girls weekend. 

This year was my year and I was so excited to host So Cali Style. My hopes were that they would love it so much, they would need to move here asap so we could all live in the same state! 

(a gal can dream right?!) 

This year only 4 of us could make it due to new babies and home moves. The other 4 were very missed! But thank goodness we have one every year we can catch them next round.

 These babes I tell you what.

We packed in lots of good food, good times, and relaxation.

We shopped, got our toes did, lounged at hotel Del Coronado, beached and beached some more, boogie boarded, big gulped of DDP and Diet coke, got the best sandwiches in the world at con pane, dinner in old town, glorious sushi dinner at Harni, breakfast at the harbor, fish tacos at the pier, laughed till our sides hurt, cried and felt uplifted, went down memory lane, got amazing massages, stayed up till wee hours of the night talking and talking (what we girls do best) packed in a whole weekend of amazing. We were giddy and so happy to be together on this much needed break.

Shopping and kissy faces go hand in hand right?

we have been friends for over 20 years!

So lucky to have them in my life.

We had 2 back to back blissful kid free relaxing beach days. 

Of course we stopped by to get our swigs 

(diet dr.p's and diet cokes with flavors added in) 

Nothing better then girl talk and lounging completely relaxed on the beach. 

Not a care in the world and no kids to count trying to keep them all alive.

 We had a lot of girlfriend therapy this trip. 

Talked about life. laughed and cried. 

It was so good for the soul I tell ya!

I swear when we get together its like we are 13 again.

giggle fits and silliness flow freely. and I love it!

We ate well on this trip, I made sure of it.

Took these ladies to some of my favorite places.

One being the most delicious sushi ever! 

The girls are still texting me they have been 

dreaming of the yumminess ever since.

 Had a spa night at my house.

Hired a mobile massage therapist to come give us massages.

We lounged in our matching floral robes, 

chatting and eating the most extraordinary desserts.

aka: heaven.

 after our massages. spa hair and all.

was seriously thee best night.

 Didn't want this trip to end. 

4 days went oh so fast!

Jenna's flight was the last to leave so I took her around balboa park

You spend 90% of the time looking up and the sheer beauty of it all.

 Greatest time with some of the greatest girls I know.
