Aloha Anniversary

What better way to celebrate our 11 year anniversary 

then a vacay away to Kauai?!

Last year on our big 10th we had new baby Leo, 

So we celebrated big for our 10 + 1 anni

 Greeted us with lays b/c that's how they do in Hawaii

Ummm that was our hotel pool. 

Pretty spectacular view wouldn't ya say?

This is the life. 

Could stay here forever

 Sorry for the over kill of hotel pics, 

but one of the nights, on our anniversary, we stayed at the St. Regis 

and let me tell you, was about the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in.

Off to our anniversary dinner.

Where we don't have to stuff our faces super fast
before someone has a meltdown.

 The sand in Kauai is so soft! 

Reminds me of moon sand, 

that you don't have to clean up. 

So squishy on the tootsies.

 In case you need the weather forecast while visiting Kauai

 Right on the beach and right by our hotel, 

was the most amazing Hawaiian shaved ice,

These were consumed daily. 

Bowl full of bliss right there

Took the most amazingly beautiful (and super strenuous) 8 mile hike

If you go to Kauai...you must hike, boat or helicopter ride the Napali Coast. 

It is unreal!

 You hike the 1st 2 miles down to this beach

Ate lunch in this cave at the beach with this dream boat.

Not too shabby

Then 2 more miles up in knee deep mud 

and crossed through 6 different rivers waist deep 

to see this glorious waterfall.

It was so tropical and completely beautiful! 

But man oh man were my feet and legs hating me at the end of mile 8. 

Our hotel hot tubs were calling our name

 I felt like we were in Avatar, about to see naked blue people running around,

So breathtaking!

Zippity Do Da!

 Dan was a natural at zip lining. 
He looked like one of the instructors.

I on the other hand, had a blast but, Looked a fool.

Like hilair. Those pics will remain hidden. 

Lets just say, Dan has some serious black mail pics on me! 

 Waking up to rainbows and this view during brunch was pretty darn stellar.

 Got a Hawaiian couples massage which was heaven 

after that glorious 8 mile hike, that almost did me in.

Dan knows the way to my heart, 

Yummy brunch then massage, yes please!

 Took a snorkeling boat tour of the Napali coast.

Snorkeled in caves with waterfalls, no big deal.

I'm pretty sure the Napali coast is the gateway to heaven.

 Soaking up our last day of paradise

 The grass is so lush and soft I want to sleep on it.

Seriously like a second honeymoon

 As a parting gift, Kauai sent us away this this stunner! 

 Like a dream.

Came home to these 3 cutie pies

 and showered our babies with all things Kauai.

And gave them lots and lots of snuggles.
